COLOSO

Where it all started...

The Origin of COLOSO

Kevin Coloso & the Collection of Lone Souljahs

Kevin Coloso began his musical journey on his home island of Maui, strumming the ukulele and vibing to the island reggae that shaped his sound. After moving to the mainland for college, he teamed up with close friends in Vancouver, WA to form the COllection of LOne SOuljahs—better known today as COLOSO.

Though the lineup has evolved over the years, the energy has never wavered. Coloso’s passion fuels every performance, whether solo or with a full ensemble, and has cemented his role in shaping the contemporary reggae scene of the Pacific Northwest. Along the way, he’s shared the stage with heavyweights like Eli-Mac, Collie Budz, Sammy J, Anuhea, Rebel Souljahz, Ekolu, Fiji, Jordan T, Sly & Robbie, The Original Wailers, Fortunate Youth, Nesian Nine, Mike Love (& Paula Fuga), Clinton Fearon, Satsang, Long Beach Dub All Stars, and many more.

With two full-length albums released and a third on the way, COLOSO continues to expand its reach. Each summer, the band takes their 24-passenger shuttle bus on tour, bringing a powerhouse lineup of horns, drums, guitars, bass, ukulele, and vocal harmonies across the United States. Come winter, Kevin returns to Hawaiʻi, performing intimate solo shows throughout the islands—especially on his beloved Maui.

Gaining momentum with every tour, COLOSO is quickly becoming one of the names to know in the emerging reggae movement. To stay up to date on new music and upcoming shows, follow us on social media and sign up for our mailing list—don’t miss your chance to catch the vibe live.
